For this, we have provided each child with many activities both co-curricular and extra curricular to help the child become the best person he or she can be.

International School Award (ISA) by British council

The year 2013-14 has marked a milestone year for the school. It has bagged the prestigious International School Award (ISA) by British Council. It is the 1st school from Bilaspur and 4th school from Chhattisgarh to have bagged the award. This year the school imbibed International and Globalization in its regular curriculum. The year brought a new dimension to global outlook in its classroom.


The ISA is a benchmark set for school by British Council to incorporate Internationalism successfully in their school curriculum. The year long activities saw students holding 10 projects covering 20 overseas countries. The school had successful collaborative partnership with Little Flower School, Jamesdhpur, Zakiganj Boys School, Bangladesh and Ysgol Gyfun Gywr, Wales, UK. They also did online projects and online interaction with students of overseas school. Beside ISA BBPS also participated in a few international project by British Council like participating in online debate with of BBC with hundred of schools around the world.


6th Odyssey International,CMS Lucknow

Our school participated in ‘6thOdyssey International’ which was held in City Montessori School ,Mahanagar Campus- I,Lucknow. BBPS’ites competed with 700 students from 72 national schools of India and 20 international schools from Pakistan, Australia, South Africa, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Srilanka and Nepal. Abhrajeet Sarkar and Subhashish Sikdar of class XI bagged consolation prize in Litteraire Concours Quiz.


Bal Shree Awards

Marisha Bage (Cl-V) for ‘Creative art’ and Sourojita Dewasi (Cl-VIII) for ‘Creative writing’ have qualified for the final round of’ Bal Shree Awards’.


Inter School English Debate Competition

14 schools around Chattisgarh participated in the debate . Anupam Pandey (X) was adjudged the first runner up in the competition.


State level Swimming competition

Deverpita bose of class V won gold medal in medlay race in state level swimming competition held at Bhilai from 18th May to 21st May


Interschool soccer competition

Our school participated in ‘Interschool Soccer competition’ organised by ‘Navbharat’ at State level. The school bagged the runner’s up trophy along with a cash prize of Rs 25000/. Ankush Kertta of class XIth was also awarded Cash prize of Rs 1100/ by Mr. Ajit Jogi (Honourable Former Chief Minister og C.G)


Bilaspur Open Marathon

Mukund Shukla (Cl-X) bagged 9th position in’ Bilaspur Open Marathon’.


BBPS’ites SHINES IN STATE LEVEL SCHOOL GAMES

14th State level school games 2014-15 was organized at Rajnandgaon by Chhattisgarh School Games, Raipur. Students from various schools of Chhattisgarh participated in Chess and Table Tennis competition. 7 students from Bal Bharati Public School, NTPC participated in Chess and Table Tennis. Samparna Bangal ,Shambavi Swaroop, Mimansa Sharma and Srijal of Class VIII secured 1st position in Table Tennis U-14 girls. Aman Sukhdeve and Parag Brahm of class IX also bagged 1st position in Table Tennis U-17 boys. Kanishk Rajput (Cl-IV) and Varsha Aggarwal (Cl-VIII) also participated in Chess .


CBSE West Zone Skating Championship

‘CBSE West Zone Skating Championship’ was organized at ‘L.K Singhania School, Gotan , Nagur District (Rajasthan)’ from 16th -18th October 2014. Around 1500 skaters from 234 schools of Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Goa participated in this event. 6 Students from Bal Bharati Public School, NTPC Sipat participated in this competition. They are Tejal Dahiya and Vedant Singh Baghel (Cl-II) , Nishant Dahiya (Cl-IV), Vishal Aditya (Cl-V) and Kanav Gupta (Cl-VI). Vedant Singh Baghel bagged Bronze medal in 1Km Road race U-8 category.
